we're still celebrating blanca's birthday. Her daughter Gloria held a surprise party today, and had a mariachi band over for an hour. I didn't get the name of their group, but they perform at La Isla in Arlington on Fridays.
I wish I spoke Spanish, and actually understood what they were singing.

i'm taking spanish in the fall!!! i'd rather take it in the summer so i can take a full year, then start 2nd-year spanish in the fall, but mommy's pretty set on me being a CNA (because that'll get me far in life - UGH).
the 10 lbs crack was supposed to insult you, but it must have glanced off your slight frame. so here's a less subtle attempt: i hate you for being lighter than me.
